Malcolm James McCormick (January 19, 1992 – September 7, 2018) known professionally as Mac Miller, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. In early 2010, Miller signed a record deal with Pittsburgh-based indie record label Rostrum Records. He began working with Wiz Khalifa, prepping his own release titled K.I.D.S. Since the breakout release of that mixtape and the accompanying tour, he’s released a steady stream of chart-topping music.
Mac Miller died on September 7, 2018, at his Los Angeles home. The apparent cause of death was a drug overdose.
